Hi there random person on the internet! In the sea of web slop made by AI agents you have found one that is actually human made, wow! Well of course you would find many websites made by humans in this part of the internet, that's what you want to see right? The individual web. The point of me creating this site is to scratch my dev itch and express my self in this tiny tiny part of the internet. I'm almost done with uni and I want something to do besides getting and doing my j*b when i inevitably join the workforce. So i decided to make a website in Neocities!
With this as a starting point, here's what i am planning to build on this site:
That's all from me, thank you for visiting this silly site of mine, it means a lot
Oh hey, still sticking around i see. I'll ramble about stuff so no need to read it, just my thoughts from here on out.
There's actually another reason as to why i decided to start neocities, i want something that is personal and just try to get away from the AI craze.
While i came from a cs background, i don't really dabble in frontend stuff (html, css, js) i mostly focus on the backend side (APIs, databases, ci/cd, all that good stuff).
Backend can really consist of a lot of things and since the boom of large language models, the need to be an expert at everything forces you to use these AI agents just to stand out from the rest.
To be clear, i'm not blaming LLMs, it's just technological progress running its course and at the end of the day, it is only a tool and a tool can only become as good as the person who uses it.
LLMs can be useful if and only if the person is also competent. The toll to be this competent person is really what i'm tired of. I'm not saying that learning stuff is bad but it gets tiring after you do it 'competitively' all the time.
So neocities lets me just use my pure brainpower to make stuff which i find satisfying and somewhat fulfiling as a dev ya know? To be able to say that i created all of this without AI feels awesome.
Again, thanks for reading this silly part, godspeed random person.
